Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast savannahs, iconic baobab trees, and large elephant herds. Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire offers visitors dramatic landscapes and excellent wildlife viewing, particularly during the dry season when animals congregate around the Tarangire River.
The park is home to elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species, making it ideal for classic game drives. Birdwatchers will also find over 500 species, including weavers, storks, and hornbills. Tarangire provides a quieter safari experience compared to the Serengeti, with expansive plains, riverine forests, and unique baobab silhouettes perfect for photography.
