Welcome to...Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact but vibrant safari destination in southwestern Uganda, renowned for its rolling hills, acacia woodlands, and wetlands. It is one of the few parks in Uganda where visitors can enjoy a combination of classic savannah wildlife and aquatic birdlife, all in a relatively accessible setting.
The park is home to zebra, impala, topi, eland, and buffalo, making game drives particularly rewarding, while its wetlands and lakes attract over 300 bird species, including fish eagles, storks, and herons. Visitors can enjoy walking safaris, which are a unique feature in Uganda, allowing them to experience the park intimately on foot with a trained guide. Canoeing along the lakes and exploring the small network of trails provides an immersive experience in nature. Lake Mburo is ideal for travelers seeking a serene, less crowded safari experience that still delivers abundant wildlife and beautiful landscapes.
